What Would X Do?
A Civil Rights WebQuest

Evaluation

Your group will create a PowerPoint presentation of at least 10 slides that focuses on the RESPONSE your group created.

Your response should address the problem of protests by whites of court-ordered integration of schools through busing. Your historical leader may or may not agree with the idea, and may or may not work to end or expand the busing.

Your response should make it CLEAR which position you believe your leader would take in this situation, and give actions or possibly comments the leader would have taken or made.

You should include SOME multi-media elements - pictures of the leaders or clips from speeches where appropriate.
BE SURE TO IDENTIFY THE SOURCE - have the URL of the site where you got the material listed at the end of your slide show (that does not, however, count as one of your 10 slides….).

You will be graded on a rubric which is available HERE for your viewing. It's also labeled
Rubric on the buttons at left. Take it seriously - it's how I'm grading you! Notice most of the points deal with CONTENT - not bells and whistles on your PowerPoint presentation!

Good luck, follow directions, and direct any questions about the presentation to ME - after all, I'm the one assigning the grade, not your friends. Feel free, however, to use the expertise of your friends with computer questions. If you get stuck, I'll be around as soon as I can to help bail you out.
I WILL NOT HELP ANYONE LOG IN WHO HAS FORGOTTEN HIS OR HER LOGIN OR PASSWORD! So write it down, go see Ms. Dize in the Media Center to remind yourself what it is, but have it ready!

Remember - if I'm in front of someone else's monitor, chances are
I'M BUSY! Please wait until I'm done before asking for assistance.
