Strand: Using Technology to Make Data-Driven Decisions 

Outcome:

  • Use Maryland standards and school data for developing a framework for technology integration.
Applicable TSSA Standards:
Use data to drive leadership decisions.
Use technology to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practices and student learning.
 
 

Strand: Focusing on Student Achievement Through the Maryland Technology Plan  

Outcome:

  • Explore the updated Maryland Technology Plan and how it supports student achievement.

Applicable TSSA Standards:
Facilitate the shared development by all stakeholders of a vision for technology use and widely communicate that vision.
Use data in making leadership decisions.
Advocate for research-based effective practices in use of technology.
Advocate, on the state and national levels, for policies, programs, and funding opportunities that support implementation of the district technology plan.
Facilitate the use of technologies to support and enhance instructional methods that develop higher-level thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
 

Strand: Evaluating Effective Technology Integration

Outcome:

  • Explore tools for evaluating teachers and their lessons to ensure effective technology integration.

Applicable TSSA Standards:
Identify, use and evaluate appropriate technologies to enhance and support curriculum and instruction that lead to high levels of student achievement.
Assess staff knowledge, skills, and performance in using technology and use results to facilitate quality professional development and inform personnel decisions.
Assess and evaluate, using multiple methods, appropriate uses of technology resources for learning, communication, and productivity.
 
 

Strand: Empowering Fellows as Leaders 

Outcome:

  • Explore strategies for developing and supporting teachers as technology leaders.

TSSA Standards:
Facilitate the development of the vision for technology shared by all stakeholders and communicate it widely.
Assure that quality professional development opportunities exist for learning and teaching with technology.
