(Fellows showcase their work throughout the state) "Once a Fellow, Always a Fellow!" Fellowships in the Maryland Technology Academy Leadership Program begin with the three-week Summer Institute and officially end in April of the following school year, although we feel "once a Fellow, always a Fellow." In the fall of their fellowship, Fellows are required implement their unit plan and student learning activity developed at the Summer Institute. In the spring, they implement the teacher learning activity (professional development) side of their Change Implementation Plan, which they continue to develop throughout the school year. During the school year, attendance is also required at four follow-up events which encompass various activities from whole group meetings to conference presentations. The final requirement of Fellows is continued activity on the Electronic Learning Community (ELC), an online institute supported by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Technology in Education. |
