The following quotes came from Fellows in the 2002 Leadership Program:

I enjoyed working with a team and observing good teaching practices.  I learned many good strategies for differentiation and activities to use in professional development.

The opportunity for professional growth is outstanding.  I would have paid to be a part of this.

The best staff development I have ever had!  Lots of options! Most teachers practiced what they preached.  I learned a tremendous amount. I met so many people that I can connect with and will further my learning. (Teaching) feels like a profession finally!  Best staff development ever.

I really liked the closeness and bonding of my team; the connections made with other teachers and technology experts; being challenged and stretched beyond my "comfort zone."

I really benefited from the instruction on how to promote change as a leader in my school.  Many programs teach technology skills but leave out the important part of how to be the leader for change and provide professional development.

I appreciated the focus on state MLOs and indicators.  Backward design was a challenge that I have been working on with teachers!  Your emphasis here was great!

My teaching has been stronger this year.  My students are more motivated, and staff and administration look to me for technology leadership.

The following quotes came from participants in the 2002 Administrator Symposium:

This symposium brought to light my personal needs and encouraged me to expand and refine my existing knowledge. I have a new sense of how to go about alignment, accountability, and building community within our school.

The theme and specific presentations were relevant. The many years of planning and developing the symposium showed. It was highly organized and beneficial to all. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in such a worthwhile endeavor. I appreciated the wealth of knowledge that was on hand to ask individual questions, and the chance to meet other administrators to get another point of view.

I gained an overall awareness of where the state is with technology and what the expectations are for school administrators and teachers. Mr. November was a wealth of useful knowledge.  He made me very aware of what I have yet to learn.

The keynote speaker is “out of the box.”  Materials and guides will be helpful for planning. Speakers were very informative. I have a plan for the 2002-2003 school year!

The symposium provided participants with a wealth of knowledge. Handouts, pamphlets and booklets will be excellent sources of reference. In addition the hands-on workshop was practical and very valuable to many.

I was given a variety of implementable information.  It provided much thought and gave me some direction for providing leadership in this area.

I particularly enjoyed the presentations on designing learning for all students and using technology to support content standards. The keynote address had some interesting concepts, especially the videotaping.

I liked the ideas about seamless integration of technology in the classroom, and the Web sites that can be used as resources. The wealth of information was so practical! Thanks.

I enjoyed the tone of excitement about the directions that education is going in, the best is yet to come.

I appreciated the great informational sources, not just the electronic. I loved everything about the symposium and plan to attend every year it is offered. Thank you so much!
